Under general direction, performs complex administrative and professional work at the advanced level for the SAMHSA State Opioid Response (SOR) grant for the Bureau for Behavioral Health. This Federally funded statewide grant addresses the opioid overdose crisis by providing resources for increasing access to FDA-approved medications for the treatment of opioid use disorder (MOUD), and for supporting the continuum of prevention, harm reduction, and recovery support services for opioid use disorder (OUD) and other concurrent substances use disorders. This SOR program also supports the continuum of care for stimulant misuse and use disorders, including for cocaine and methamphetamine. The program aims to help reduce unmet treatment needs and opioid-related overdose deaths throughout West Virginia. This position ensures subrecipient grantee compliances with federal and state guidelines and ensures the timely and accurate reporting of data. Provides technical assistance and training to grantee and community organizations, as needed. Performs research, analyzes legislation, helps develop policies, standards, and procedures, and manages staff. Other related duties as assigned.
